Cancer taught me that I MATTER! I have become intentional about how I live. I have made my lifestyle my medicine.
When I have first diagnosed with stage four metastatic lung cancer, I was told there was no treatment and no hope. Nine months later, I received my first clean scan. Fast forward five years, and I am faced with yet another diagnosis, but this time, the tumor made a home in my brain, liver, and chest. Fast forward four months later, I received my first clean scan. My story is the definition of HOPE! The more we share our story, the more people will believe that cancer does not have to be a death sentence; it can be a life sentence!
If I could go back in time and decide my own fate, I would allow myself to get cancer due to how it changed my perception of life. The sun looks brighter, the grass looks greener, and the world looks bigger.
Cancer made me wake up and realize the bigger picture of life. It has brought me to my purpose - to help survivors recover from cancer and to help rebuild their immunity, make healthy lifestyle changes, and to help prevent recurrence. Cancer taught me how strong I actually am, how to face my fears, and ultimately how important overall health is. There is no life to live without your health and well-being!
