My mantra during treatment was: “I am cancer free!" I am just waiting for my body to catch up with what my mind already knows.
My mantra during treatment was: “I AM CANCER FREE! I am just waiting for my body to catch up with what my mind already knows.” I’m also deeply Christian and rely on God’s control, guidance, and support daily in His Word.
Advice I’d give anyone newly diagnosed: research all your alternatives and do EVERYTHING together. It doesn’t matter which one works, just throw the whole kitchen sink at it. Everyone thought I was over the top (and continue to be over the top) yet here I am, no evidence of disease (NED) living life to the fullest (but restricted diet, etc.). I am happier and healthier than I’ve ever been!
This diagnosis has allowed me to slow down and take inventory of my life and the people around me. It has allowed me to re align with my authentic self, whom I lost trying to be a high achiever and perfect in an imperfect world.
Cancer made me truly appreciate life and gave me a perspective of how fortunate I am to be alive, especially as I came so close to death.
